REPUBLICANS WHO HAVE LOST THEIR WAY

1.  Olympia Snowe (Maine Senator) – Sided with the Dems in voting for the stimulus bill that changed America (unforgivable); voted to confirm Justice Sotomayor

2.  Lindsay Graham (Senator South Carolina) – voted to confirm Justice Sotomayor; continues to personify the backwards and misguided centrist wing of the Republican Party

3.  Susan Collins (Maine Senator) – joined her fellow Maine Senator in voting for the stimulus bill forever cementing her place on the list; voted to confirm Justice Sotomayor as well.

4.  Mark Sanford (Governor South Carolina) – just won’t go away or ever shutup.  Take your medicine and realize that when Republicans fall…they fall extra hard.

5.  Sarah Palin (Former Alaska Governor) – stepped down unceremoniously… or rather simply without any good reason and seamlessly loaded the rifle for Libs in her march to the Republican nomination in 2012.  Perhaps we should be thanking her for this actually.  Can’t wait to read her book!!

6.  John McCain (Arizona Senator) – ever the “Maverick” and always pulling to the Center; mismanaged an ill-fated campaign that will scar the Party until it has another crack at it in 2012.  Likely to stay on the list til that time and beyond.

7.  Lamar Alexander (Tennessee Senator) – voted to confirm Justice Sotomayor in spite of the vast majority of his constituents who opposed the confirmation.  Good luck next time around there in Tennessee.

8.  Bobby Jendal (Governor Lousiana) – was labeled as the “Future of the Republican Party” and did more damage than good in his first moment of glory – the primetime response to President Obama’s speech before a Joint Session of Congress.  Perhaps a few less “son of an immigrant” comments and an actual conservative agenda would have been more appropriate?  If only they would have went with that plan to hang the banner in the background that read “Republicans…Not just old White Guys anymore” he wouldnt have had to connect the dots for viewers.

9.  George W. Bush (43rd President) – sorry W.  You’re gonna be on here a while.  “Stimulus” is a Republican word thanks to you.  Tee-ing it up for Obama to knock capitalism out of the park – not a good move.

10.  ____________ – Tomorrow’s news cycle will provide another one… So lets just fill in the blank who falls next.
