The controversial Green Jobs Czar, Van Jones, is surprisingly still a part of the administration despite his now uncovered checkered past.  I say surprisingly because in a world where employees are fired at break-neck paces for posting anything less than vanilla on their Facebook or Myspace accounts, the White House seems to be taking a more blind-eye approach.  I mean what has to come out about this guy before the President decides its time to cut the cord?  An avowed communist, obscenities aimed at Republicans, and signing petitions that claim the 911 attacks were an inside job – still not enough?

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs would only say Friday that Jones, no stranger to controversial or offensive statements, is still a part of the administration. He declined to say if Jones still has the confidence of the president. – The Hill

I may be throwing out all reason here in saying this, but I think even Obama and his spin class confidant Mr. Gibbs will have to eventually give up on Jones.  He is becoming too much of a liability even for an administration that thinks its above any and all investigation of its slimy past -even as they move forward looking into the closets of the prior administration.  But stranger things have happened.  And can anyone tell me what it is that the Green Jobs Czar actually does?  …….. Didn’t think so.
