The Daily Show With Jon Stewart on the New GOP Website
You know by now that I’m not the biggest fan of RNC Chairman Michael Steele and his attempts to inject himself forcefully into the political scene with a racial tilt even though he lacks any real credibility to do so. So with that in mind, you can probably gather that I am also not a big fan of the new GOP website launched last week either. I am happy that the Republican Party is taking steps to modernize and to communicate with new generations, but do they have to go out of their way to squash all myths and lies about the Party with one big effort? Couldn’t the site be up and running for at least a week before it attempted to be the Party of openness and open minds? Couldn’t they have waited a week before they attempted to paint Baseball Legend, civil rights pioneer, and political activist Jackie Robinson as a Republican? I guess not, and unfortunately their new age PR campaign will quickly turn into a PR nightmare. Good work Mr. Steele. Well done. Maybe, just maybe, titling your blog “What Up” was a bad move.
