Son of Former Presidential Candidate Ron Paul, and Kentucky Senate hopeful, Rand Paul discusses the issues with Fox News and Neil Cavuto. He characterizes his political views as non-partisan and conservative, and says the most important thing for Americans to remember is that “there is no money left to spend.”
Many have wondered what this guy’s brand of politics will look like - will he be the libertarian icon that his father is, or will he be a more traditional conservative? I think the jury is still out, but many Wildcats in the Bluegrass state are clearly looking for a new direction, and it appears that they like what they hear from Rand Paul as he has become quite the fundraiser moving toward next November’s election.

Im surprised KY isn’t pulling more for a traditional evangelical type.
I don’t know that KY can be read as such an open book. Louisville is a very powerful and diverse entity and has a constituency very dissimilar to the whole of the state. Traditionally the state has had more southern evangelcal christian conservatives, but then again they have also had Bunning for ages.
Didnt his dad want to do away with the CIA and FBI?
His father is a libertarian so by his very nature he wants to dismantle the federal government piece by piece. I am not that familiar with Rand but if he is cut from the same cloth as his father he will certainly represent a drastic change for Kentucky
