President Will Not “Rush” Afghanistan Decision
Addressing troops in Jacksonville, Florida yesterday, President Obama told the gathering of military personnel that he was “not going to rush a decision on Afghanistan.”
“I will never rush the solemn decision of sending you into harm’s way. I won’t risk your lives unless it is absolutely necessary… And if it is necessary, we will back you up to the hilt. Because you deserve the strategy, the clear mission, and the defined goals as well as the equipment and support that you need to get the job done.”
Come on already. How many times can you say that you will not rush a decision? You’re not rushing anything at this point. Trust me. How long does it take to make decisions in the Obama household? You attempted to do more in your first 100 days than any President in American history. You were making so many decisions that we could hardly keep up with you and you can’t decide on this? I am beginning to think that you are nothing more than an annoying girlfriend who refuses to make a decision just because we asked her to. You’re the President for Christ’s sake. What else do you have to do except to sit around and make decisions? How bout hopping off the fundraising circuit for a few days and banging this thing out?
Is it the Afghan election? Are we waiting for the results? If it is, then tell us that. You are appearing more and more inept each and every day. I am generally reluctant to call you a socialist, but frankly its the only thing that you are committed to. When it comes to expanding government you are resolved; you are decisive. When it comes to the well being of our troops and the success of their efforts in Afghanistan, you are a third grader choosing from the Ice Cream Truck.
It is time to make a decision Mr. President. Standing in front of hundreds of service men and women and telling them you are deliberating and mulling it over is a disgrace, and I feel genuinely sorry that each of those men and women had to listen to your speech, clap politely, salute you, and call you their Commander in Chief.

He will get in a game or two you can count on that. I am sure that he will take a few more fundraising trips as well before he makes a decision. Deadliest month in 8 years there and we wait?
