Soviet Perspective on the Fall of the Berlin Wall

Since the mainstream media in this country has been treating the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall like a re-run of Melrose Place, I figured I would post a few videos from Russian television to see what they have to say about this historic event. You have to remember, they were on the losing side of this thing and they are still willing to recognize what a big event this truly is. Kind of makes you wonder why it is so insignificant here.
The first video is an interview with Mikhail Gorbachev. He describes the wall’s coming down as the “Final Nail in the coffin of the Cold War.”
