Ann Coulter Talks Palin’s Book
Ann Coulter sits down with CBS’s Harry Smith to discuss Sarah Palin’s book that is set to debut next week. While she has kind words for Palin and her national base, she is less than enthusiastic about Palin’s future. The truth here is Coulter is scared to death to bash Palin. You can sense it in her tone. Even she has been topped in popularity among conservatives by Palin over the course of the last 18 months and is terrified that saying anything negative about this conservative darling would be a deathsong for her own future. I mean this as no shot at Coulter. She is a business woman and she is certainly in the business of not alienating the majority of her fan base. I do not have a said fan base so I don’t give a rat’s ass. Coulter will play along, as will all the other conservative personalities, from now until it is time to genuinely support Palin as a candidate. Then it will be conservative judgment day. If there is no other viable candidate at that time, they may support her. But if there is even a heartbeat faintly discernible emerging from another conservative’s chest, they will abandon her and say that they never supported her anywhere along the way. Mark my word. Palin will never be on the GOP ticket again, and she knows it. Look for her to spin this book into an alternative career. How much will Fox News pay her for a Primetime Palin program?
