Turkey Day Pardons
In an annual Thanksgiving Tradition that dates back to President Harry Truman, the President bestowed his Presidential Pardon on two turkeys at the White House yesterday. The two turkeys, named Courage and Carolina, were making a stop at the White House to pick up their life saving decrees and then were headed to the West Coast to Disney Land to serve as the Grand Marshall of the Thanksgiving Parade. There is no real “political news” here, I just felt like I needed an excuse to post something about a turkey. The President’s remarks are posted in the video below.
Random Palin Pardon from last year – thought some of you would like seeing this instead of Obama’s Pardon. Check out the turkeys in the background going through the “process” – I think maybe they should have chosen a better place to stage an interview.
