If the Catholic Church can begin to appreciate the value of science, I think even conservatives can open the door as well. As for me, I believe very passionately in the importance of science, that being said, I have the ability and the motivation to question any and everything that anyone presents to me as fact when it is nothing more than theory. I would look at any issue with a similar degree of skepticism. For the specifics of this one, I happen to find it extremely funny that we had to change the name to climate change rather than global warming because those of us here in the US are freezin our bums off as we speak.
