Okay, so the “attack” part is probably a stretch, but that’s the headline scrolling “the wire” right now… and to be fair… I threw in the quotation marks so you should have known there was something else at play here. I mean come on… you can’t really be that offended. I think if Romney was really “attacked” you would have heard it in an Olympic cut away or at least a commercial break from Two & 1/2 Men or 24.
More or less, reportedly the story played out something like this…
The incident was apparently sparked when a man sitting in front of Romney’s wife, Ann, in the economy section of the plane dropped his seat back prior to take-off.
The passenger became “physically violent” when Romney asked the man to move his seat upright for take-off, apparently trying to hit the 62-year-old.
Romney’s spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom said: “Governor Romney did not retaliate.”
After hearing of the incident, the pilot returned the plane to the gate and had the passenger and his bags removed
I don’t know if I am more impressed that the plane turned around so the A-hole in the full “hair in your beer” position could be arrested or that Romney was flying economy. I can’t wait to hear what the seating chart on this plane was like. No first class for the big shot? Can’t wait to see how this one gets spun… Kudos for not knocking the dude out Mitt…

Was this guy going Schumer on a flight over his tray table not being locked and his chair upright? He must have been a liberal.

I think the plane was a turbo-prop and therefore had no first class section, all coach.
A classy guy and he’s flying economy! An impressive role model!
