I have admittedly been a little off the radar as of late, but I have been consistently following many of my favorite sites even in my brief sabbatical from the daily blog world and thought I would post a few pieces of Right Wing propaganda for your enjoyment. Have a look.
By repealing it, you’re saying ‘
don’t worry, if Democrats are in power we can change what they did’. Ok fine.
But…a better argument is ‘don’t let them get into power to begin with’ because when they do this is the result. While we can’t promise that repeal will work, what we can promise is this..don’t vote them into office and you can be certain it won’t happen.
How long do you expect it will be before Potato Head Waxman and Silver Spoon Rockefeller haul the CEO’s of all major health insurers before a Congressional committee to explain their reading of the law?
I give it two weeks, tops. Remember you heard it here first.
So now, because of ObamaCare, there is the distinct possibility that children and families who may otherwise have been covered (sans pre-existing conditions) will now not be covered at all because of the pre-existing condition provision.
On February 7, a Pittsburgh man died at home after ten calls to 911 failed to bring the EMS services he needed. According to the AP story, Curtis Mitchell and his common-law wife Sharon Edge made their first calls for help in the early hours of February 6. Help never came.
“I’m very angry, because I feel they didn’t do their job like they supposed to,” said Edge, 51. “My man would still be living if they’da did they job like they was supposed to … They took somebody that I love away.”
This was in the middle of “Snowmageddon”, which dropped over 20 inches of snow in Pittsburgh. But according to the city’s public safety director Michael Huss, it’s no excuse.
I think it proves instead the point I’m trying to make. The trouble with NY-23 wasn’t knowledgeable voters resisting a RINO liberal and breaking for the third party candidate. The problem was an arrogant Republican Party that ignored those voters, then sent Newt Gingrich to tell the common folk what was best for them. Had the Republican establishment thrown their support behind the popular and desired conservative candidate, Hoffman and the GOP would have both won – as would the voters.
NJ Governor Chris Christie
visited Montclair High School yesterday to discuss his budget cuts with teachers and students. The governor answered tough questions from seniors in a U.S. government and politics class. And did it from behind a simple wooden podium. No TelePrompTers. No gubernatorial seal. Relaxed posture, at ease with the situation.
Setting aside the Constitutionality of the mandate for a moment the validity of its enforcement by the IRS opens up some very interesting questions. For starters, what else can Congress mandate that we must do under penalty of having the IRS make our lives even more miserable?
How about forcing every American to buy a car from Government Motors?
Has it only been a few short years since the Catholic Church weathered one of the biggest storms of it’s very long lifetime? Beginning in the early 1980s, the news of more and more Catholic priests who were guilty of the sexual abuse of some of their young, male parishioners started to emerge. The scandals peaked in 2002, with allegation after.
A lot of serious topics have been discussed on Political Realities during the course of it’s existence. The Presidential elections, the economy, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and now the debate over health care reform. Maybe no one else gets to feeling this way, but I wonder sometimes if we do not need to take a step back and chill out.
Ever since he assumed the office of President, the anointed one has gone to great lengths to “extend an open hand” to Muslims around the world, even those intent on the destruction of the United States and her allies. However, even these facts fail to explain the
total disregard displayed by the White House towards the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, during his recent visit.
Well, let’s see. . .
- They both start with the letter “C”
- Both of them can give you a headache
- They both can make you want to stay in bed all day
- Both of them tend to involve alcohol for “medicinal” purposes
- The will both be covered under Obamacare
Once again the sensitive sensibilities of the left is just an act. It turns out that they are every bit as evil as Palin. Actually even more evil because they thought of it first! Check out some of these lefty maps from 2004 and 2009.
In Michigan, I have observed what happens when Democrats run government, and I predicted accurately what would happen if Obama and the Democrats won the elections of 2008. Democrats turned Michigan into Detroit, and Democrats are now turning the United States into Michigan. You need to make sure that everyone you know votes Republican next election, or else your kids will grow up in a nation that is less civil, less prosperous, and less free than then one they are growing up in now.
I’m probably going to re-post this every April Fool’s Day until I die. When I linked it on Facebook for the first time, my college roommate, Scott Moore, declared the entire prank to have been “brilliantly conceived and flawlessly executed”.
I couldn’t agree more. I’ve changed a name or two, in light of about 500 people having different memories of how they heard it first.

Hey, marinemanny. This is LD from Political Realities. I am glad you enjoyed the cartoons. Feel free to come on over and join in the discussion. Also, stay tuned for tomorrow’s edition of Friday Funnies on Political Realities.
Was wondering if you got into a bad batch of bourbon…I’ve been known to do that myself sometimes. Thanks for the links brother and welcome back.
Welcome back to the front lines (oops! More extreme language!), and thanks for the link!
I have been a devoted lover of your website for a while and never truly given anything back, I hope to alter that later on with more debate. Thanks for another new inclusion towards the website.
Our major issue in this country is our two political parties. Our forefathers knew that a two party system would be our downfall and took steps to try to stop this type of politics, and thus anyone who seriously thinks that politics isn’t corrupt or slaves to Corporate America hasn’t not been paying attention. George Jr. will go down in History as one of the worst administrations in history and I could go on for hours showing why, but my point is that the Obama administration has offered nothing different (besides health reform, granted) and has in fact continued nearly every single Bush program. Obama has almost the same political donors and thus has the same pressures as Bush did. Health reform will turn out to be the most expensive and destructive waste of tax payer money ever. I just wish I could offer a better alternative for other frustrated people, but I can’t and those that think that the tea partiers are the future, remember that Sarah Palin is an important figure to them.
You seem very knowledgable about this issue and it shows. Trust all your future posts turn out as well. Cheers!
snappy little title, Hehe
