Charles Krauthammer lays into President Obama in his reaction to the Oval Office Address last evening. What makes this all the more impressive is that he offered the first reaction there on the set of Fox News and had only moments to prepare his remarks. There is no one – and I mean NO ONE – in the industry better at on-the-fly analysis than this guy – save for maybe Mark Levin who provided real time live commentary of the speech lat night. Have a look.
Not that Krauthammer needed any help, but I do believe that the Lonely Conservative hit the nail on the head.
President Obama delivered his Iraq address this evening, and I kept thinking “If only he sounded like he cares.” His tone was flat, it sounded like it was just something he was trying to get through. The other day he dismissed Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally. While sometimes I wonder about Glenn Beck, I don’t question his love of country or his love of our troops. I wish our president left me with the same impression. I wish he was someone about whom I could say “I don’t agree with his policies, but I am confident that he loves this country and those that defend it.” Unfortunately, I just don’t get that feeling from this guy.
