I don’t know how these two are still worthy of an interview. Hell, I don’t even know why they’re worthy of face-time here. I suppose I just couldn’t help myself when I stumbled upon this clip of them sitting down with CNN’s Piers Morgan to talk politics and their opinions on the man they campaigned for in 2008.
First off. I loathe Hollywood A-listers who feel the need to exercise their “Right” as a celebrity to pop-off about politics, so I really hate it when B-Listers and has-beens think they need to chime in.
Truth be told, I really don’t mind the uber-liberal types that legitimately dig in and take part in causes around the globe; but when they venture back into the world of domestic policy, I’d just assume change the channel and refuse to see their movies than to spend even a moment hearing their voices.
In the case of Ashton Kutcher, I keep waiting for the screen to come crashing down so the goofy lil bastard that used to be funny can come grab the camera to tell us all the whole thing’s been a hoax.
Pay close attention to when this clip hits the 40 second mark as Kutcher talks about “giving things up” to get something. Tell me he’s still talking politics and not his career at that point?
You have to appreciate the effort here. These two are certainly among the first to reemerge from the quiet crypt or wherever it is Hollywood political pundits go in non-election years. Their support for President Obama appears unyielding. Can you say apologists with a capital A. Is that the “Scarlet Letter” Demi was really wearing in her last movie that anyone watched?
