Want to watch a video that will make your head feel like it’s going to explode? No, really. This thing’s like a migraine a millisecond. How about one you still won’t be able to turn away from? Take a look at this back-and-forth between Freshman Congressman Joe Walsh (R-IL) and MSNBC Hardball host Chris Matthews. Someone want to tell me again why that network’s ratings are garbage. This stuff is train-wreck priceless.
I suppose this video’s really about the economy – or more specifically the debt ceiling debate – but I can’t help but believe it could serve as the only evidence needed for making the case that MSNBC’s both in the tank for the Left and a complete sideshow of a network.
I’ll spare you the commentary here. The video speaks for itself. I commend Rep. Walsh for making the appearance – and for slipping in a “thrill up the leg” reference – but I can’t help but wonder why any Congressman would want to put himself through that? He had to walk away feeling like he was back in the second grade arguing over who’s the most awesomest G.I. Joe – Snake Eyes or Duke – when the other kid keeps insisting it must be Cobra Commander.
Parting Question… Anyone else ever wonder how many times Chris Matthews has been punched in the face?

GI Joe? Was his last name Walsh? NOT! Matthew’s journalism style aside, he had Walsh on the defensive, clearly, for most of the interview. Joe did not answer a single question directly but did a good job repeating Tea Bagger talking points, giving diluted answers or changing topic. Matthews picks up on the fact that Walsh isn’t even listing and asks him, “What is the size of the US Economy?” which he answers (twice) 3.7 Trillion – ooops – and when he realizes it how does he respond? With a child like temper tantrum attempting to project his own inadequacies at Matthews. Very, very sad to watch….. and in the other tank “My Friend” as Walsh would say, is Fox News which is a sideshow for the right. Its easy to tell this for many reasons notwithstanding the link to Fox on this page. Lets see how FOX ratings do now that Rupert Murdoch and News Corp. are under the spotlight.
Appreciate your perspective “my friend.” Don’t agree, but appreciate your sharing it.
As to Fox News which you felt the need to bring up here. I’ve never been one to make the argument that it is fair and balanced or even objective, so take that fight to someone else. Also, if you really think the Murdoch scandal is going to impact ratings, I do believe you have completely underestimated that network’s following – or perhaps overestimated them depending on the way you look at it.
Hey Chris, you should have attended the class on Journalism to allow the interviewee a chance to respond to your questions. What a jerk. Chris shows his lower intelligence level by not answering questions to him.
Bravo Chris,
Walsh has a loud mouth and says nothing and answers nothing. Now with the scandal about his private life as a dead beat dad, we now know why he has no answers. Guess we wont be seeing that clown on your show anymore!! Keep taking em down buddy! You rock!

What a deadbeat! This loser was voted into office by all the misinformed FOX viewers. Wonder how they will spin this. Loyalty to a cable news channel is not relevant to those who seek their news (msnbc viewers) just to those who want their news given to them (fox viewers). Chris does a good job, he is an excellent judge of character.
