As you probably know by now, Dennis Miller is without a doubt my favorite comedian – and not just because he happens to be a Righty. Dude puts in the time to do his homework. He’s smart. He’s fresh. He’s current. And he also happens to serve as a reminder to his brethren in the funnyman business that not every comedian has to be a flaming liberal.
Last night he made an appearance on Leno and the pair discussed everything from Barack Obama’s newfound zest for “killing” to Miller’s taking a second look at his endorsement of Herman Cain.
A few of the high points…
On President Obama…
”One thing I do like about him… and I didn’t see this coming… He is a freaking killing machine. I had no idea. Beforehand it was all close Gitmo, no rendition, PATRIOT ACT… I remember they wanted to give that pig Khalid Sheikh Mohammed… they wanted to take him to downtown Manhattan and put him on Judge Judy. And all of a sudden we’re just killing people… we’re killing American citizens. Al-Awlaki got killed because they didn’t want to waterboard him. Let’s hold a seance for old Al-Awlaki and ask him if he would have preferred to be waterboarded than vaporized from the sky by a death missile.”
“If I was Barack I’d play into it… Just start killing anyone that moves. If I were him I’d If they want to take back that Peace Prize, just level Oslo with a nuke.”
On Herman Cain…
“They asked him a question about Libya and he appeared to have a mini-stroke there. That was like Charles Barkley’s backswing. I had to move on from Herman. He seems like a nice man.”
On Rick Perry…
“You know how Perry’s in the race? You know that guy who decides to walk the New York City Marathon and finishes a day later? Perry’s in the race like that.”
Who’s he voting for?
“I don’t know where I’m going yet. I could go over to Newtville. I could go to planet Ron Paul. But I’m probably going to end up on stayed old Sedate Romney Acres like everybody else is. It’s hard to hit Romney. Gingrich hits back. And Ron Paul doesn’t even know he’s been hit.”
