Bachmann – Romney and Gingrich are “Father and Grandfather of ObamaCare”

They're the Great Pretenders

Michele Bachmann Fox NewsIn an interview Megyn Kelly on the Fox News Network’s America Live, GOP hopeful Michele Bachmann continued her latest string of attacks on front-runners Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich by referring to the pair as the “Father and Grandfather of ObamaCare.”

KELLY:  ”You came out earlier and said you believe Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney have significant flaws… What do you think are their significant flaw and do you believe that they’re deal-breakers if one of them becomes the Republican candidate for president?”

BACHMANN:  ”Oh sure, I think they have very significant flaws.  They’re the great pretenders right now because they’re trying to pretend and talk and walk like they’re conservatives when they’re… they hardly have a conservative record.  Both of them have real problems in their background with the pro-life issue.  Both of them supported the $700 billion Wall Street bailout.  Both of them were in favor of the climate change reg-legislation.  They both were for advocating for – or at least was advocating for Freddie Mac.  He was on the take when I was out fighting against that.  And they have a serious problem on ObamaCare among a lot of other issues.  They were the father and the grandfather of the ObamaCare legislation.”

KELLY: Which one was the grandfather?

BACHMANN:  Newt Gingrich.

KELLY:  I don’t think Newt’s gonna like that.

BACHMANN:  We can’t have as our nominee people who were in favor of the government takeover of health care.

My question.  Does that make Barack Obama the Godfather?  Perhaps, the illegitimate pops?

He does seem hellbent on distancing himself from the “greatest achievement of his presidency”, so maybe he’s the deadbeat dad?

As you may have seen here or elsewhere, Bachmann made headlines earlier today by telling radio host Glenn Beck that she believes Gingrich’s support of the Medicare Part D prescription drug entitlement program was evidence that Newt was a “frugal socialist.”  Her comments were part of her reaction/response to a Gingrich-Beck interview from earlier Tuesday morning.

Anyone else like seeing Bachmann on the attack?  I don’t see how it really helps her candidacy, but it sure does make things exciting.
