John Bolton Endorses Mitt Romney

January 12, 2012
By

Ambassador John BoltonFormer US Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton has officially entered the endorsement game Thursday offering his support for the candidacy of Mitt Romney.  Big Get?  If you are from the camp that believes endorsements are everything, absolutely.  If you’re a bit of a doubter, like yours truly, it’s still a big score for one reason; and it’s not the one you’re thinking of – foreign policy credentials.  What this endorsement gives Romney is a first class pit bull surrogate who will hammer the rest of the field on behalf of his chosen candidate.

CBS NEWS:  John Bolton, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations under President George W. Bush, endorsed Mitt Romney’s bid to be the Republican nominee for president.

“Of all the candidates, Mitt Romney possesses the strongest vision for America’s leadership role in the world, and I am proud to endorse him,” Bolton said in a statement released Thursday by the Romney campaign. “President Obama has sapped America’s credibility abroad, weakened our military and failed to lead on issues vital to U.S. national security… Mitt Romney will restore our military, repair relations with our closest allies, and ensure that no adversary–including Iran–ever questions American resolve.”

Huge Bolton fan on defense, but man did he get this one wrong- bad timing to say the least

Mitt’s in decline, as Newt’s (counter) attack ads start to bite: Romney’s only up 2 pts in SC in the latest poll, and Newt’s out front in NC already- the day’s soon approaching when Romney is going to regret forcing Newt to go nuclear.

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander, right Mittens?

    ha ha ha ha

It’s good to hear someone who still has that level of optimism that this thing could stretch out a bit. I’d love nothing more than to have three-to-four candidates still in this thing pushing March. And if by chance, it is; Gov Romney will be firing someone for coming up with the great idea to go at Newt head-on. Newt on the attack may not win the nomination, but a determined Newt could go a long way to determining who “is not” the nominee.
