Senator John McCain made an appearance on ABC’s This Week live from Afghanistan and was asked to weigh in on a host of issues foreign and domestic. Not surprisingly, the interview opened with a discussion the GOP primary race and the perceived “negativity” that seems to be driving it on the flanks – a development which Senator McCain at least partially blames on the Supreme Court’s decision in Citizens United.
“I don’t think I’ve seen one that was as personal and characterized by so many attacks as these are. And frankly, one of the reasons is, the Super PAC’s. And why do we have the Super PAC’s? Because of the ignorance and naivete of the United States Supreme Court in the Citizens United campaign.”
Oh wait, we have heard this before…
