Maryland Governor and Chairman of the Democratic Governors Association Martin O’Malley joined fellow Obama surrogates Governor Bill Richardson and Stephanie Cutter on Face the Nation Sunday live from the floor of this week’s Democratic National Convention and opened the festivities with a hearty dose of Bush-blaming rhetoric and spin.
SCHIEFFER: Can you honestly say that people are better today than they were four years ago?
O’MALLEY: No, but that’s not the question of this election. Without a doubt, we are not as well off as we were before George Bush brought us the Bush jobs losses, the Bush recession, the Bush deficits, the series of desert wars charge for the first time to national credit cards.
