A simple gesture. A casual sign of appreciation. A handshake and a blessing. A tribute to men and women who have serviced and those who have paid the ultimate price. There’s a lot that can be said about the men and women of the US military; but today the most important thing to say is thanks. If you know a veteran, thank him. If you see a veteran, shake her hand. If nothing else, say a prayer that those who continue to serve this great nation do so safely under God’s protection. The cause of Liberty is just. The price of that Freedom is far too often paid by the few. Let’s do our best to honor that service.
This Veterans Day 2012, we humbly and respectively say thanks as we honor those who have served and continue to serve this great nation.
