As many of you probably know, I’m anything but an Eric Cantor. Frankly, the fact that he has “leader” in his title is a testament to the leadership vacuum that is our nation’s capital. In fairness, Cantor may very well be a fine individual, a good father, even a respectable representative of the State of Virginia. But what he’s not is a viable “face” of a national party hoping to turn the tide of recent electoral defeat. Watch 30 seconds of this interview – any of the clips – and tell me that he represents what you want in a party spokesperson.
You know that “It Factor” everyone likes to talk about?
If you happen to know someone manufacturing “It”, please have them send a truckload of It Mr. Cantor’s direction.
Even where I agree with him, all I hear is nose-up smugness… and I’d cast a vote for the guy. Just think what the undecideds of the world must think when they hear him speak. Is that really the guy we want attempting to “re-brand” the GOP?
