Big Government Watch: Nashville City Government Engaged in Price Control

April 21, 2011
nashville tennessee

Come on Nashville!!! My hometown has made headlines once again, but not for the sort of news that warms hearts and invokes images of the fuzzy-cuddly sort. It is grabbing headlines for setting forth the kind of regulation that would make even the biggest opponent of free-market capitalism let out an obnoxious...

I told you when Glenn Beck announced he was leaving Fox News that things were about to get interesting... Mike Huckabee's response to Glenn Beck. "Beck needs to stick to conspiracies that can’t be so easily de-bunked by facts. Why Beck has decided to aim his overloaded guns on me is beyond me. But...

Those Mysterious Independent Voters

April 21, 2011
independent photo

April 20, 2011
sarah palin hannity

Sometimes you start typing and before you know it you've run off half the people that you intended to serve by writing in the first place. You've angered those who frequently read your work and you've alienated any newcomer that just so happened to stumble upon your most recent rant. Sometimes you...

In the second part of an interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos, things got a bit testy when the morning show anchor pressed Mr. Trump about his continued push to reveal President Obama's "real birth certificate." I'll leave the video to you so you can draw your own conclusions here, but I think it's...

April 19, 2011
krauthammer palin

After listening to clips from the weekend's Tea Party circuit, conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer says Former Governor Haley Barbour is the only "serious candidate" - "serious with a chance of winning" that is.  He says Palin and Bachmann are competing for the same constituency and the Trumpster's assuming the role of Al Sharpton for...

I had my reservations about this segment (especially after watching this...), but I walked away thinking it was among the highlights of the weekend. Freshmen Congressmen, Allen West (R-FL), Steve Southerland (R-FL), Joe Walsh (R-IL), and Renee Ellmers (R-NC) were featured on This Week with Christiane Amanpour and they DID NOT disappoint.

April 18, 2011
sarah palin

Sarah Palin's much anticipated Tea Party appearance in Madison Wisconsin came and went Saturday, and might have got lost in the Tea Party shuffle of a weekend riddled with heavy-hitter appearances and the Trumpster, but the Former Governor brought out the big guns and delivered a speech worthy of a presidential kickoff - of...

Ray LaHood Puts Me to Sleep Talking About Air Traffic Controllers Falling Asleep

April 18, 2011
air traffic controllers

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood says they will be adopting the NTSB recommendations from 2007 which will increase "rest periods" from 8 hours to 9. Brilliant, right? That extra hour will surely make the difference. I know 5AM rather than 6AM really lets me pass on the morning coffee.
