In an interview with Fox News on Monday, aired on Tuesday, Speaker of the House John Boehner cautioned that there was a 1 in 3 chance that the GOP could lose the House in November. As you might expect, DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz was quick to agree… “I would say that there is a 2-in-3 chance that we win control of the House again but there’s a 1-in-3 chance that we could lose and I’m being myself, frank. We’ve got a big challenge and we’ve got work to do.”
Yesterday, House GOP members gathered on the steps of the Capitol Building for a rally in opposition to the proposed healthcare legislation. I am yet to see any accurate figures for how many were in attendance, but it appeared to be a sizable crowd. The rally wasn’t without a few stars either. Jon Voight passionately got the rally off to a good start after there were a few flubs with the sound system as well as with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Mark Levin stole the day however receiving endless applause throughout his address. Here are a couple of clips from the rally.
