Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels made an appearance on Wednesday morning’s Fox and Friends to “officially” announce his decision to endorse former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney for the Republican nomination. Better late than never, I suppose. While much of the interview focused on other issues, Governor Daniels did manage to sneak in the endorsement before Kilmeade moved to a stimulating interview with Jenny Garth who was on set pitching you her new show A Little Bit Country.
Governor Mitch Daniels on Meet the Press “National policy wouldn’t have been as relentlessly anti-enterprise as it’s been. If you assembled a team of Nobel economists and said design a policy to stifle and strangle investment, small business growth, and innovation in this economy; you couldn’t have done better than what’s happened the last three years. The mindless piling on of regulations… has drained away dollars that could have been used to hire someone. New taxes and the threat of more – all the uncertainty that’s come with that. No one can prove what might have happened; but this is the weakest recovery by far from a deep recession that we have since records have been kept and I don’t think that’s an accident. “
Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels stopped by the CNN set for an interview on State of the Union with Candy Crowley Sunday as he continues his nationwide book tour selling Keeping the Republic: Saving America by Trusting Americans. I say that not as a shot at Governor Daniels, but to mention his new book. He’s also an interesting guest as he chose to stay on the sidelines of the race for the White House, but his opinion on all things GOP still carries great weight in many circles.
Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels hit up Fox and Friends Tuesday morning as part of a publicity tour for his new book Keeping the Republic: Saving America by Trusting Americans and was asked to weigh in on President Obama’s newly unveiled jobs and deficit reduction proposal. No surprise, Daniels thinks the plan is a non-starter. “As a practical matter, it’s a loser.”
Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels “sat down” for an interview with ABC’s Christiane Amanpour to discuss his decision not to run for the Republican nomination for President. I’m just gonna go out on a limb here and say that I don’t think I’m alone in really not caring about the “what’s or the why’s” here. No?
Can a brother get a spot? Mitch Daniels gets 16 stitches after getting injured at the gym. Come one Indianapolis! We can’t have the moneymaker getting dinged up before this guys throws his hat in the ring. We’re already looking at a late-summer/early fall announcement – at best; if ever. And now the Hoosier Governor’s got 16 stitches in his noggin?
